TJMs range of Sump, FUG and Transmission guards are made using 3mm thick steel and finished in a Super Alloy 5 Coating. The addition of SA5 will increase the life and maintain the look of the product through having far superior rust and corrosion preventative properties to any existing coating. Even when the product is scratched exposing bare metal, the surrounding SA5 will ensure that any surface rust is limited to the exposed area and not allowed to spread under the undamaged coating.

Statement from the coating manufacturer:

"Super Alloy 5, also known as SA5 is an electroplating process that has a far superior corrosion resistant priority than zinc electroplating.

Independant testing has shown that the SA5 coating in some applications will withstand 1000 hours of salt spray testing before evidence of red rust."

Each Underbody guard is press folded in strategic areas to increase the strength of the plate and careful thought is given to where the bolt points are situated to prevent the guard from coming loose even when the vehicle is bottoming out.
